The crew: ET, Curt, Gary, and Buddy |
Brewery: 20-hectolitre capacity manufactured by Newlands Systems, Inc. Abbotsford, BC, Canada |
The crew arrived at Clear Lake, Wisconsin about 10 AM. The Sconnie Brewpub is opened and tools are brought in. All water supply pipes, stainless (beer) pipes, the glycol lines, boiler pipes, instrument wires, and electrical supply cables were labeled and disconnected.
Each tank was moved to the back of the brewery using the fork life and only lifting it a bare inch from the floor. The tanks were carefully and slowly tilted and laid onto pallets and moved out through the freight door and into the fire station parking lot. Most of the day was cold and rainy.

Tom joined our crew. He had been the rigger who originally set up the Sconnie brewery in 2004. After ET and Curt disconnected the augers, Tom rode the fork lift tangs some twenty feet up to the top of the grist case, unbolted the guy chains, and hooked the grist case to the fork lift tangs. The grist case was then raised off the support rack and lowered to the floor. The remaining tanks were tipped, moved outside. The flatbed trailers were loaded and departed.
